It was in 2002/2003 that the Computying national working group was working on creating a curriculum for the new subject incorporating Typing, Computyping and Computer Studies SG (the subject was nameless at the time). Teachers were without sufficient resources at the beginning stages and the MattLo books (teacher's books with no copyright issues) met the need and filled the gap. However, over the years, many new voices and faces have surfaced and taken the lead in taking the subject to greater heights and it is now time for us oldies to fade into the background. I do believe that our work was of a high standard and our thanks go out to all of you who supported us over many years. If there's anyone out there who is still interested in the books, the website is still functional, but we will be closing it down in due course. I think Magda's message below says it all! Working with Magda over the past 15 years (I think it's even longer than that) has been a great pleasure and privilege.

Na 15 suksesvolle jare van boeke skryf en verkope aan skole en onderwysers, gaan MattLo Boeke finaal die deure sluit. Ek en Anne het heerlik saamgewerk, ons het mekaar so goed aangevul en elke oomblik van ons werk geniet. Ons het addisionele studiemateriaal saamgestel en teen uiters billike pryse beskikbaar gestel in die vak RTT/CAT. As mens kyk na die kommentaar van onderwysers op ons webblad, dan is ons baie dankbaar vir die geleenthede wat ons kon aangryp om Takeboeke beskikbaar te stel vir leerders en onderwysers reg oor Suid-Afrika en Namibië. Ons webblad gaan ook binnekort sluit, maar al ons vriende en oud-kollegas weet steeds waar om ons te kontak indien hulle nog boeke wil bestel. Baie dankie, Anne! Ek het heerlik saam met jou gewerk en ons was met reg altyd trots op ons netjiese boeke, oorspronklike take, gepaardgaande CD's en oplossings.
